AIRROC presents a half-day virtual Workshop focusing on IBT’s (Insurance Business Transfers).  In the third quarter of 2020, the first much anticipated transaction under the Oklahoma IBT law was completed.  The second is in process.  This event brings speakers from the regulatory, business, and supporting counsel perspectives to discuss the landscape, hear from differing views, and take a look at what we have learned from the first completed transaction.

Three sessions will delve into the background on the states that have enacted IBT or Division statutes and the differences/similarities between them, hear from the regulators that are “for” the statutes and some that are “against” and get updates on the NAIC (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) activities.  The last session will look at the business perspective and review how the first transaction worked, lessons learned and a look at what is next.

The event ends with a 30 minute “Super Panel” question and answer session with all panelists.  Small group "Zoom Rooms" to visit with the presenters and other attendees will also be featured at the end of the event.  Drop in and have some small group interactions with individuals that you want to connect with.

Sessions include:
Overview: Statutes and Regulatory Landscape
The Regulators:  Viewpoints and Considerations
The OK Process:  Lessons Learned
