AIRROC Adapts to Serve the Legacy Insurance Sector

As part of our pledge to pivot and make sure that we can still bring relevant educational content to our members and the entire legacy sector, AIRROC is offering a series of webinars from our Corporate Partners on current and emerging issues.

AIRROC Partner Firm Mound Cotton Wollan and Greengrass LLP have prepared updates on two key areas for AIRROC.

1. Vaping: What's Hiding Behind the Puff of Smoke?

The discussion will include basic facts about vaping—what it is, who’s using vapes, and what the dangers are—and the current status of lawsuits and legislation, as well as how insurers and reinsurers are handling what some are calling an “epidemic.”

2. Data Protection: What Run-off Insurers Need to Know About the NAIC's "Insurance Data Security Law"

Topics include:

  • The perils faced by the industry to protect sensitive information collected, processed, maintained, and used for insurance and reinsurance purposes.

  • Overview of the “Insurance Data Security Law” adopted by the NAIC, as well as a brief discussion of other important privacy regulations that may impact the insurance and reinsurance industry.

  • Analysis of traditional reinsurance contract provisions that must be scrutinized in the face of the Insurance Data Security Law.

Presenters:
Amy Kallal, Partner, Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass LLP
